1930s Shanghai

Once upon a vintage time, someone decided to go on a little DIY trip with this elegant Asian jacket. The detailed drawings on the blouse are made with some kind of marker I think, but definitely handmade. I can only fantasize about who made this... and why. The jacket itself seems quite old but the drawing and the materials do not. I'm sure it's not from the 1930s, but the style and the material do remind me of those typical 30s pictures of gorgeous Chinese women. Maybe a fifties jacket which was used for a creative project in the 80s, when DIY was very popular... what do you think?

The detailing on the collar and placket are made from some sort of thin metal cord (L)
