New in: B-day pressy time!

5 lovely comments
The 25th of July was a splendid day... as you can see in this previous post I celebrated my 26th b-day in La France with my love and family. I feel so grateful to be able to spend time with my family and friend. Ever since my dad got sick in December I tend to appreciate the small stuff more. Especially being with loved ones, which we should never take for granted. But of course, I love pretty stuff as well and pretty presents even more hihi.I have been wanting to show you the loveliness I got for my birthday; so here they it is!
My gorgeous husband gave me this cameo to-die-for (L)

For my 'ugly vintage dog' collection hihi

I have been wanting a soft leather biker jacket; this remake from Episode
(made from recycled leather) is very soft and comfortable to wear. Thanks mum!

These I got for myself from some cash I received (L) (Zara)

Love this quirky umbrella to bits!

My love Madamde Pompadour gifted me this most precious vintage sketch

Last but not least; this stunning leather beauty came with me from France. I spotted
this darling at a market in Bourg and the hubby said "let's take get that for your b-day!"

Outfit: Aloha Hawai

5 lovely comments
Well..... Hawaiian wears anyways... we were not actually in Hawaii, though we did dress the part. I have had this summer dress for ages and it is just so comfortable in warmer climates. The label says it is some kind of local Hawaiian creation, worn by the locals... Yeah right, bought by greedy tourists as a souvenir I reckon hihi. I love that my darling wore his tropical shirt that day as well. Doesn't he look cutesy-fluetsy <3 ?

Outfit: Textured fifties skirts times two

How I love to wear textured novelty skirt from the 50s when it's hot out... They're just so comfortable to wear when temperatures are rising. I brought several to France and wore all of them. Here are my favorite two... both paired with the same H&M lace insert top which I became very fund of because they are very practical. Do you ever buy the same item in different colors just because you love it so much?

Outfit: My B-day Dress

On the 25th of July I turned 26! I celebrated my birthday in France with Marnix and my dad's youngest brother with his family. I had such a wonderfully relaxed (and warm I might add) day. My husband gave me the prettiest presents, which I'll be showing soon. This is what I wore on my birthday... a gorgeous seersucker dress from the early forties, made in The Dutch East Indies. What dot you think of this unique dress (which I had altered in order to fit into it... there was no closure in the dress so I didn't fit over my upper body at first.. it does now with a brand new zipper)?
