The jacket

I have a thing for statement jackets. They make you look feminine and fashionable as soon as you put them on. They're also good for your posture and silhouette. For some reason, wearing a jacket makes you stand up more straight and come off more serious. That's why I believe wearing statement jackets is recommendable for job interviews etc. (instead of those boring blazers people tend to wear when attentindgserious gatherings.)

Finding the right one isn't that easy though because the fit has to be perfect, which a lot of the times isn't the case. They're often either too long, too wide or too short. Remember; wearing a jacket that doesn't suit you is worse than wearing no jacket at all! That's why I was so pleased when my latest Asos package arrived. This lovely colourful jacket fits me like a glove and the strong colours suit me. Thanks again Asos!

DIY fun

When I was younger, I used to make jewelry for fun. An although I hadn't really thought about making jewelry myself for ages, I was driven to do so yesterday. I figured most of the jewelry I like these days are fairly easy to make yourself. So I went to town to go looking for some material. I ended up buying a lot of fun stuff. Here are the first two pieces I made!

When working on a set with photographers, one can not avoid being snapped every once in a while. An although I hate being surprised by 'hungry' camerists, some pictures turn out to be quite nice! Here are some pictures of me doing my styling thing... or something in between.

Cat Eyes

I get a lot of questions about where to find Cat Eye sunglasses. Occasionally I come across a specimen or two, but I have to say Asos is by far the best source for these retro shades. Just look at this gorgeous white one for instance... what a beaut! And she is just one of the many lovely retro sunnies on there. The prices are kind as well, you can find a lot of them for about 16-20 euro!

The 'ugly' jacket

Sometimes I find myself in the situation, where something is just so 'wrong' I need to have it! This is what happened last week, when I was doing some Primark shopping. I spotted this satin leopard jacket from across the bargain-filled room and I went grabbed it immediately. When trying it on, I discovered the fit wasn't bad at all! So I took it home with me. The next day I wore it to the opening exhibition of Nicolien Bags.
