Quick thrift

Whenever there is a fleamarket somewhere near, I'm there. Fortunately my boyfriend doesn't mind going with me (he actually likes it), so we often visit these events together. Here are my latest finds.

A day at the office
The inner rockabilly in me resurfaced yesterday. I had to wear my Levi's with a black blouse (H&M) and some leather sneakers (Mexx.) This is me in the shop I work at on a typical thursday evening.

Old stock
This is a tribute to some beloved shoes of mine. A few years ago, I got these old stock Meyer men's shoes (a shop located at the P.C. Hooftstraat in Amsterdam.) They're from the 1950s, and have never been worn. I love the minty greenish colour! Can you believe there used to be men with shoesize 38....

Colour splash
This black eighties jumpsuit with pleated front has been a favourite of mine for a while now. I always like to wear it with some coloured accessories, otherwise the outfit tends to get a bit too serious. The shoes and the clutch are Primark, accessories H&M and Bijoux Brigitte.

Horses gone Mad
I bought these Steven Madden patent leather platforms a few months ago, and I still love them. I think the colours are gorgeous and they will go well with the upcomming f/w 2011 palet. I'm probably one of the few people who actually like socks in pumps. So I couldn't help myself.... I had to try these funny horse socks with my designers shoes.
Juwel binge
I just got these bracelets and rings from Bijoux Brigitte. Since I don't really like the shiny gold cuffs in most modern collections, I was thrilled to find this (not so shiny) one.

Something old and something new
I decided to wear my new metallic shirt immediately. I combined it with a classic vintage skirt, belt, clutch and shoes. I always love to combine the new with the old. Metallics are very trendy these days, worn with vintage makes the total look totally: me!

Love your Levi's
Every girl should have a good pair of Levi's jeans. They're comfortable, will last for a long time and last (definitely not least) they are good for your figure. I got these vintage Levi's from a vintage store and combined it with a basic white shirt, killer heels and some bling. The shirt is from H&M, jewelry and belt are vintage and Asos
provided me with these patent leather platforms. And yes: when I wear
this outfit to town I usually throw on some easy-going shoes.

Flowers
Yesterday we had some friends over for food and drinks. They came by train and the walk from the station to our house takes you all the way through the village. On their way here, they decided to pick me some flowers: one from each garden they passed. Such a beautiful bouquet it deserves to be photographed. Look at my happy-face haha!
